Follow the specific instructions below until you arrive at our clinic.
Immediate First Aid Tips
Knocked-Out Tooth
Handle by the crown (top), not the root. Rinse gently with water if dirty. Try to reinsert it, or store it in milk. See us IMMEDIATELY.
Cracked or Broken Tooth
Rinse with warm water. Apply a cold compress to the outside of your face to reduce swelling. Avoid chewing on the injured side.
Lost Filling or Crown
Keep the piece safe. You can use dental cement or toothpaste to temporarily re-seat a crown, but never force it. Do not chew on the affected tooth.
Dental Abscess
Rinse with mild salt water (1/2 tsp salt in 8oz water). This is a serious infection; contact us immediately as it can spread rapidly.
Not sure if it's an emergency? Call us anyway. We are happy to provide guidance over the phone.
